Brazilian pork exports continue to rise

In July, the pace of Brazilian pork exports (considering fresh and processed products) was below that of June, but registered a strong increase compared to July 2022, also being the fifth consecutive month of export volume above 100 thousand tons. According to data from the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) analyzed by Cepea, Brazil exported 104.2 thousand tons of pork last month, 2.6% less than the amount shipped in June, but still 9.8% higher to that sent to the international market in the same period last year. In financial terms, the amount collected in July was R$ 1.19 billion, 6.2% less than in June, however, 0.5% higher than in July/22. In dollars, there was a drop of 5.4% in the monthly comparison, but a significant increase of 12.4% in the annual comparison, to US$ 248 million in the last month.
