In 2023, turkey meat sales generated $201 million in revenue, a 6.2% increase from the previous year's total of $189.3 million. December saw an increase in international sales, with 4,200 tons of turkey meat exported, generating 8.4 million dollars in income, despite a 5.1% decrease from the previous year. Mexico, the largest importer of Brazilian turkey meat, saw a 4% decrease in imports, while South Africa and the European Union saw significant increases of 38% and 239%, respectively. ABPA president Ricardo Santín expects this upward trend in turkey meat exports to continue throughout the year.
