Brazil begins 2026 with international acclaim in the wine sector. Seven Brazilian wines made with Chardonnay grapes were awarded at the 33rd edition of the Chardonnay du Monde, held from March 10 to 12 in Burgundy, France. This result marks the first international recognitions of the year for the national wine production. Considered one of the most important competitions in the world dedicated exclusively to Chardonnay, the event received 471 samples from 25 countries. The evaluations were conducted by 200 international tasters in blind tastings. Brazil won three gold medals and four silver medals, highlighting the technical evolution and diversity of the national winemaking.
