Bread wheat prices fell slightly on the international market in Jordan, while on the same procedure in Tunisia, feed maize continued to rise in price.

The Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply of Jordan has purchased 60 thousand tons of bread wheat of optional origin at an international tender, out of a planned 120 thousand tons, reported the electronic edition APK-Inform, citing its sources among market participants. The winner of the tender is the company Cargill, which will supply the wheat at $273.99 per ton C&F. For comparison – at the last successful tender for the import of bread wheat in Jordan held two weeks ago (with one canceled in the meantime), the supply of 60 thousand tons out of a planned 120 thousand tons was agreed at $275.95 per ton C&F from the Bulgarian company Buildcom, and at the tender in Tunisia in early April, the planned 100 thousand tons of optional origin were purchased at prices between $274.70 and $275.49 per ton C&F, including a batch of 25 thousand tons again from Buildcom.
