Broccoli and cabbage maintain stability in RS

According to the Conjunctural Report released by Emater/RS-Ascar this Thursday (18), the cultivation of broccoli and cabbage is showing regular development in different regions of Rio Grande do Sul, with variations in planted area, prices, and climatic conditions. In the administrative region of Lajeado, in the municipality of São José do Hortêncio, Emater/RS-Ascar reports that "the development of brassicas is proceeding normally, with no losses recorded in the last month." The survey highlights, however, the significant reduction in the cultivated area during the summer. In the market, broccoli is sold between R$ 20.00 and R$ 30.00 per dozen, depending on quality and size, while cabbage maintains stability, with prices between R$ 1.00 and R$ 1.25 per unit. In the region of Soledade, recent rains have contributed to a drop in temperatures, creating favorable conditions for the resumption of new cabbage plantings.
