Brussels proposes adjustments to the new EU budget to break the deadlock with the Eurochamber

The European Commission has proposed adjustments to its budget proposal for the period between 2028 and 2034, with a target for "rural" spending in the agricultural sector among other changes, in an attempt to circumvent the European Parliament's rejection of the original plan that Brussels had put forward, according to a document. The document, which arrived at the Eurochamber this Sunday, was debated today Monday in a videoconference meeting between the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen; the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola; and the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, whose country holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union this semester and represents the countries.
