The European Commission has proposed a temporary ban on imports of five agri-food products from Ukraine to Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Hungary due to the impact of increased Ukrainian agricultural imports on their agricultural sector. The proposed ban includes corn, wheat, rapeseed, sunflower oil, and sunflower seeds, and may be extended until the end of the year. The countries had also requested a ban on honey, sugar, and poultry meat, but the Commission does not consider these to be 'sensitive products'. The Commission has also suggested using a portion of the crisis reserve for these countries.
