The European Commission (EC) has published an update on all restricted and vaccination zones affecting the cattle herd in Spain to curb the spread of the viral disease contagious bovine pleuropneumonia (CBPP) among livestock farms. According to Implementing Decision 2025/2423, which was published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) this Friday, France has reported seven new outbreaks of CBPP between October 30 and November 17 in cattle farms bordering the autonomous community of Catalonia. In response to these new outbreaks in France, Spain has updated the protection and surveillance zones in Catalonia.
