Despite high animal feed prices, the livestock herd has grown from the beginning of 2022, with a projected demand for 51 million pigs at at a growth rate of 4.8% compared to the same period in 2021. However, farmers are seeking financial support to maintain and grow their herds due to high feed prices. Additionally, Vietnam's imports of meat and meat products have decreased in both volume and value compared to the same period in 2021, with the exception of buffalo meat, and India remains the largest supplier of these products.
