The Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences in China has developed three new vaccines to combat common diseases affecting meat ducks, a significant breakthrough in the industry. These vaccines address the lack of sufficient duck vaccines, a problem that has hindered the industry's growth due to the increasing complexity of diseases as intensive duck farming increases. The new vaccines include an inactivated H9N2 avian influenza vaccine, a live vaccine for duck hepatitis A virus type 1, and a two-inactivated vaccine for duck infectious serositis and E. coli disease. These vaccines have obtained new veterinary drug registration certificates and are being promoted across the country, promising to enhance the health and productivity of meat duck farming.
