The Vietnam Academy of Agriculture and the Department of Science and Technology of Hoa Binh province have successfully developed a process for producing organic and off-season VietGAP vegetables in the highland commune of Tan Lac district. The model, which is deployed on a 3,500m2 area, produces organic and VietGAP certified tomatoes and radishes. A cooperative group has been established to produce these vegetables, with an expected output of 3.8 tons of organic and 4.9 tons of VietGAP tomatoes and radishes per year. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Hoa Binh plans to replicate this model on a larger scale after conducting experimental procedures in 2024.
