Bulgaria's new season is expected to see a significant reduction in rapeseed harvest, leading to a 23% decrease in exports by 2023/24. To maintain processing volumes, imports are set to increase by 4%. However, the decrease in supply is expected as key suppliers are also experiencing adverse weather conditions. This year, the rapeseed crop is 15% lower than the previous year, and seeding for the 2025 harvest has started under moisture deficit conditions, with the area for the 2025 harvest forecasted to be 10-15% larger than the previous year.
