After a slight decrease in rates on some routes last week, owners of the tweendecker fleet managed to stabilize freight rates, as the market continues to show a steady flow of grain shipments, especially in the segment of vessels 5–7 thousand DWT. This was reported by Pavlo Lysenko, an analyst at ASAP Agri and a chartering broker at Atria Brokers. According to him, charter rates for tweendeckers also remain stable.
