Turkey: Bursa black fig received geographical indication registration from the EU

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that Bursa black fig is the 26th product registered by the European Union (EU) on behalf of Turkey. Yumaklı shared a post on his social media account regarding the issue. Stating that good news regarding the registration came from Bursa black fig, Yumaklı said, "Bursa's black fig became another Bursa flavor registered by the EU after Gemlik olives and Bursa peaches. Thus, the number of our products registered by the EU increased to 26. We said yesterday that new ones would be added to the list, and more will follow."
