A business cooperation agreement named "Co:Village" was signed to establish a mutually beneficial foundation between fishing villages and companies. The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (Minister Jeon Jae-su), the Korea Fisheries Development Corporation (President Hong Jong-uk), and the Federation of Korean Industries (Chairman Ryu Jin) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on "Co:Village for creating shared value between fishing villages and companies" on the 1st at the FKI Tower in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul (photo). This agreement aims to connect the abundant resources of fishing villages with the specialized capabilities of companies, enabling fishing villages to secure self-sustaining power through a new mutually beneficial model and allowing companies to create shared value and achieve sustainable management. Pursuant to this agreement, the three organizations will work on discovering and spreading mutually beneficial models between fishing villages and companies.
