Production of butter in Russia from January to July 2025 increased by 3.4%, to 202 thousand tons, according to Rosstat. Production of milk, excluding raw milk, during the same period increased by 0.9%, to 3.5 million tons, while cottage cheese production increased by 1.6%, to 286 thousand tons. At the same time, cheese production decreased by 0.7%, to 493 thousand tons, and production of fermented milk products decreased by 1.4%, to 1.3 million tons. According to statistics, margarine production in January to July increased by 4.1%, to 261 thousand tons. Meanwhile, production of sunflower oil and its unrefined fractions decreased by 16.4%, to 4.2 million tons, wheat and wheat-rye flour by 6.7%, to 4.9 million tons, cereals by 9.3%, to 976 thousand tons, white beet sugar by 29.4%, to 665 thousand tons, and confectionery products by 5.3%, to 2.3 million tons.
