In the Krasnodar Krai, the crop yield this year has set a record. Rice cultivation is one of the priority areas of development of the Russian agricultural complex and in recent years has been showing steady growth, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. Thus, crop production in the country over five years has increased by 10%, reaching a record 1.3 million tons in 2024. By 2030, it is planned to increase this figure to 2 million tons. According to the analytical company "ProZerno", the rice harvest in Russia in 2025 in clean weight will amount to 1.15 million tons, which is "a very good result". As the CEO of the company, Vladimir Petrichenko, believes, there are currently no factors for either expanding the sown areas under rice or significantly reducing them.
