By 2030, the increase in pork production in Russia should amount to 1 million tons live weight, or 750 thousand tons carcass weight, and exports should reach an indicator of 650 thousand tons. This was stated by the CEO of the National Union of Pig Breeders (NUS) Yuri Kovalev at the XXV annual conference of "Agroinvestor" "Agroholdings of Russia - 2025." To implement plans for increasing production and exports, the state has decided to issue approximately 120 billion rubles in investment loans this year. New projects, the expert clarified, will be implemented mainly in the Central Federal District, as almost half of the country's population lives there.
