The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has committed this Monday to defending the interests of the irrigators of the Segura and Júcar hydrographic demarcations who have conveyed their "discontent" and warned of the cuts that put their future at risk. The president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, met for about two hours with representatives of the irrigators of both demarcations at the Palacio de Fuensalida, the headquarters of the regional government, in Toledo. After the meeting, the counselor for Agriculture, Livestock, and Rural Development, Julián Martínez Lizán, pointed out in statements to the media that there is "concern" in the entire sector, agrarian, livestock, agri-food, industrial, and even for the supply of water to the populations.
