Over the past week, trading and purchasing on the green market in Ukraine remained not particularly active, with participants indicating that interest continues to decline amid large offered quantities, according to observations by analysts at the online publication EastFruit. Owners of warehouses not equipped with climate technology were actively selling off stocks because, due to the relatively warm weather, the quality of the cabbage began to deteriorate rapidly. Sellers of such produce were willing to lower the price to 1.5 hryvnias (4 cents) per kilogram. Meanwhile, for quality cabbage, farmers were not inclined to drop below 2-8 hryvnias (5-19 cents) per kilogram, which is nevertheless 23% below the prices at the end of the previous working week.
