US: California Nurseries presents its free marketing model for raspberries

VICA Alegría has officially seen the light at the Red Fruit Congress that is being held this Wednesday and Thursday in Huelva. The new raspberry variety, arising from the Viveros California breeding program, adapts very well to the various climatic conditions - tests have been carried out with up to five planting dates, between May and August and with different pruning times - and to the varied lands, demonstrating their plasticity and rusticity, offering a strong ascending character and great ease of harvesting. Alegría is a raspberry with a large conical fruit, in a medium red color, with an average brix of 9.5º (which measures the degree of sugar) on average. It is emerging as the best option for the different areas of Huelva and Portugal, as it fits very well with the traditional management of the area for double-harvest primocane varieties.
