Cambodia saw a significant increase in the export of Pailin longans to China, reaching 17,000 metric tons in 2023 despite challenges with weather and limited water affecting fruit quality. Prices for the longans vary depending on the harvest period, with farmers earning an average of 3,300–3,500 Cambodian riel per kilogram from August to December, and 4,000 riel per kilogram from January to March. Despite smooth shipments, exporters observed declining purchases, and logistical challenges continue to affect exports, with high freight charges from the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port.
