In mid-October, the second "Belt and Road" Customs Food Safety Cooperation Mechanism Conference was held in Shanghai, where Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia, met with Sun Meijun, Commissioner of the General Administration of Customs of China. During the conference, the Chinese side signed agricultural food product access cooperation documents with representatives from multiple countries.
Cambodia's key export products include brown rice, pineapple, pineapple, frozen durian, mango, cooked meat, acorns, and pet food. Both sides committed to accelerating the necessary sanitary and phytosanitary measures to ensure compliance with the agreement and to promote trade.
Currently, the fruits from Cambodia that have been granted access by Chinese customs include banana, mango, longan, coconut, and durian, with durian being approved for export to China in July of this year. China is the primary destination for Cambodian fruit exports, and under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, more Cambodian fruits will successively gain access.
