Carrot prices in Ukraine have dropped by an average of 10% due to a large rejection rate caused by poor quality. The price adjustment is happening despite limited supply, as demand for medium and low quality carrots is very low. Adverse weather conditions during the growing season and harvesting have contributed to the quality issues. Despite the price drop, carrots are still significantly more expensive in Ukraine compared to mid-January of the previous year. Additionally, prices for greenhouse cucumbers are increasing, and despite already high prices, apples are experiencing further price hikes.
