The Associação Brasileira de Proteína Animal (ABPA) has recommended the suspension of visits to poultry establishments in Brazil due to avian influenza cases in South America. The recommendation applies to both Brazilians and foreigners, except for those who work directly at the production unit. The association has also provided a list of precautions, including hand hygiene and clothing change, to prevent the spread of the disease. Despite the cases in South America, Brazil has not recorded the disease and plans to maintain its position as the world's largest chicken meat exporter.
