Last week, cassava processing companies experienced a 15% drop in processed cassava due to reduced crushing days from the Good Friday holiday, processing only 56.7 thousand tons. Despite this weekly decrease, there's a strong interest from producers in supplying raw materials, driven by obligations or the management of leased areas. Interestingly, Cepea forecasts that the monthly crushing volume for March will see a 7.7% increase from February, contributing to an 18.3% rise in the quarterly total compared to the previous year, indicating a resilient cassava processing industry.
