Despite challenging weather conditions, cassava harvests are progressing in most regions due to the high availability of areas to be harvested and low producer expectations, according to research by Cepea. However, the increased supply has resulted in a drop in average root prices for the third consecutive week. From March 11 to 15, the average price of a ton of starched cassava fell by 1.4% compared to the previous week and 56.4% in real terms compared to the same period last year.
