The Ministry of Agriculture in Thailand is implementing a project to upgrade large plots in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province using modern agriculture techniques and market connection to boost agricultural production and income for farmers. The project aims to provide smallholder groups with a system for production and marketing along the supply chain, focusing on market demand and modern agriculture principles. The province, known for its pineapple production, has set up 71 plots covering various crops, livestock, fishery, and rubber over 17,839.25 rai area. The director-general of the Department of Agricultural Extension mentioned that the project is displayed at fairs as a model for other large plots, strengthening network connections and driving reforms in the agricultural sector.
