Russia has introduced new tariffs for imports of frozen beef, ranging from 11.25 to 20.6% for supplier countries without tariff preference. This includes countries like Mercosur partners, Colombia, and India. However, a 0% tariff is maintained for all products exported by the Eurasian community. In 2020, Russia imported less than 400 thousand tons of beef, a significant decrease from the 1.2 million tons in 2008. Paraguay was the second largest market for Russian beef, exporting 60,115 tons worth US $ 205.6 million last year.
