The total wine production from the 2024 harvest, declared by registered winemakers, is 634,649 hectoliters, which is 6.1% less compared to the previous year. The production of red and rosé wines decreased by 4.2% year-on-year to 259,039 hectoliters, and that of white wines decreased by 7.3% to 375,610 hectoliters. The data is published in the Agrarian Report 2025, which reflects the situation in Bulgarian agriculture in the previous year. The Southeastern region led in wine production in 2024 with 57.5% of the total, followed by the Southern Central region with 18.5%. The smallest share of produced wine was in the Northwestern region – 2.7%. In non-industrial conditions, 128,661 hectoliters of wine were produced in 2024, compared to 168,695 hectoliters the previous year. Thus, the total wine production for the 2024 harvest amounts to 763,310 hectoliters, which is 10% less compared to the 2023 harvest.
