The Chelyabinsk region in Russia has imported a significant amount of agricultural products from Uzbekistan, including over 13 thousand tons of fresh fruit, 2 800 tons of melons, about 9 400 tons of fresh vegetables, and other products like sunflower and pumpkin seeds, dried vegetables and spices, peanuts, and dried fruits. These imports make up a large portion of the total volume, with up to 40% of fruits and 30% of vegetables coming from Uzbekistan, particularly watermelons and melons. This shift marks a replacement of Chinese fruit supplies to the region.
