In the U.S., 19% of winter wheat was reported in poor condition, while spring wheat sowing was above average. U.S. wheat exports surpassed expectations, reaching 19.4 million tons, a 15% increase from the previous year. Globally, the wheat market is facing uncertainty due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, with Ukraine's production expected to fall by 23% and a decrease in Russia's exports despite stable production. Meanwhile, the EU forecasts an 8% increase in wheat yield for the 2025/26 season.
