Chicken meat prices in Pakistan have seen a significant increase, with costs rising by over 100%. This is largely due to the ongoing inflation and a surge in the prices of poultry feed. The rise in feed prices, which was previously priced at RS5,000 (Dh81.25) but has now increased to RS7,000 (Dh113.75) per 50kg bag, has had a major impact on the poultry industry. The situation has led to public outrage and protests, with industry associations calling for the government's attention to the issue and threatening nationwide protests if no action is taken.
