In Egypt, the price of white chicken has recently decreased to 80 pounds per kilo, reflecting the country's efforts to maintain stability in the poultry market. The General Authority for Veterinary Services is actively implementing precautionary measures against epidemic diseases in livestock and poultry, including the deployment of locally produced vaccines. With a self-sufficiency rate of approximately 97% in white poultry production, Egypt is now focusing on expanding its poultry exports to Arab, East Asian, and African markets, bolstered by a certification from the World Animal Health Organization for its avian influenza-free establishment system. The country's daily local production includes around 4 million chickens and 13 billion eggs annually, as the government continues to monitor market prices closely to ensure stability.
