In a landmark year for Chile's foreign trade, pork has consolidated itself as the fifth most exported food product by the country in 2025, reinforcing the importance of the meat sector in the national export matrix. Asia remained the main destination for pork. According to data from the Subsecretariat of International Economic Relations (SUBREI), Chile's total exports grew by 7.9% in 2025 compared to 2024, reaching a historic high. In this context, the food sector totaled 23.083 billion dollars, an increase of 2% from the previous year, consolidating its position as the second largest sector in terms of revenue for the country, following mining. In 2025, Chilean pork exports reached 652 million dollars, ranking among the main food exports.
