Despite the solid figures, exports fell 4% in volume and 10% in value compared to the same period of the previous year. Regarding the products most consumed in the year, cherries lead the rise in exports with 232 thousand tons, equivalent to USD 1,453 million FOB, a value that meant an increase of 5% in volume and a decrease of 11% in value, in comparison with the same period of the previous year. The main buyers of cherries were China, which accounts for 92% of total cherry shipments.
