Between January and August 2020, Chile's fruit exports saw a 7% decrease in volume and an 11% decrease in value, totaling 2.62 million tons and USD 4,972 million FOB. The majority of the value, 76%, was from fresh fruit. Grape exports experienced a 7% drop in volume and a 21% drop in value, primarily to the US and China. Cherry exports increased by 6% in volume but decreased by 7% in value, mostly to China. Apple exports also decreased by 8% in volume and 14% in value. Nut exports also declined by 25% in volume and 20% in value. Processed fruit exports saw a slight decrease of 1% in both volume and value.
