Chilean horse mackerel exports to Africa have increased by 10.2% in July compared to the previous year, reaching a sales value of US$44 million. This growth in exports is attributed to the higher availability of the fishing resource, satisfying international demand, and the added value of diversifying products such as fillets and preserves. Chile is the world's top exporter of frozen horse mackerel, leading sales to African markets and experiencing significant growth in exports to Peru as well.
