China and Ethiopia Sign Memorandum of Understanding, Allowing Ethiopian Avocado Exports to China

The memorandum was signed by Ethiopian Ambassador to China Tafela Debi and Deputy Commissioner of the General Administration of Customs of China Wang Lingjun, representing the outcome of six months of joint technical preparation and review by Ethiopia's agricultural sector and China's General Administration of Customs. The Ethiopian Embassy in China stated that this memorandum is an important milestone in expanding Ethiopian agricultural product exports, which will promote more high-value avocados entering the Chinese market, marking a key step in Ethiopia's strategic process of diversifying export markets and deepening economic cooperation between Ethiopia and China.
