China and Thailand promote sustainable development cooperation in fisheries

Deputy Minister Le Thu Ha and Permanent Secretary Ekksit Indrawut met and were pleased to see the positive results of bilateral cooperation, especially the elevation of relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership in May this year, as well as the coordination within multilateral frameworks such as ASEAN and ASEAN-EU. Deputy Minister Le Thu Ha highly evaluated the cooperation between the two countries recently through mechanisms such as the Joint Cabinet Meeting, the Joint Committee, and political consultations, and emphasized the coordinating role of the two foreign ministries in implementing the agreements reached. Le Thu Ha thanked the Thai side for their close cooperation with Vietnam on the issue of protecting citizens, including assisting in the safe repatriation of Vietnamese citizens detained in Myawaddy, Myanmar.
