Australia saw a significant surge in wheat exports in January, marking a 97% increase from December, with a total of 2.7 million tonnes of wheat and 500 tonnes of durum exported. This increase was largely driven by heightened shipments to China. Australia also shipped 156,540 tonnes of wheat and 500 tonnes of durum in containerised exports in January, with Taiwan, Thailand, and Indonesia being the top markets. Bulk exports, which amounted to 2.56 million tonnes of wheat, were primarily destined for China.
