China's coffee imports have seen a significant increase, growing to over 1.1 billion US dollars in 2023, up from 6.58 million US dollars in 1995, reflecting the expanding coffee consumption market in the country. The variety of coffee imports has also increased from 31 sources in 1995 to 75 currently, with the majority of imports being coffee beans. Shanghai and Jiangsu Province are the leading coffee importing regions in China. The increase in coffee imports is attributed to the need to support the national economy and improve people's living standards.
