China has increased its annual grain output target to approximately 700 million metric tons and boosted its agricultural stockpiling budget by 6.1% to $18.12 billion. This is in response to escalating tensions with trading partners and an effort to reduce reliance on main suppliers, the United States and Brazil. The country also aims to provide more support to the livestock and dairy sectors. The adjustments are part of a strategy to enhance food security through improved farmland management, technology use, and storage facility connectivity.
