On September 9, 2024, Mr. Somchuan Rattanamangklanon, Director-General of the Department of Livestock Development, announced that the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) has certified three additional Thai factories for exporting frozen poultry meat and by-products, increasing the total to 26. This certification underscores confidence in Thailand's adherence to GHPs and HACCP standards. China remains a significant trading partner, with frozen poultry exports valued at 16.9 billion baht in 2023 and projected to exceed 18 billion baht in 2024. Additionally, Thailand's frozen poultry exports to various countries, including Japan, England, and South Korea, have risen by 7% in the first half of 2024 compared to the same period last year.
