China resumed the import of Russian ice cream in October after a break in September.
According to the materials of the State Customs Administration (SCA) of the PRC, the ice cream was purchased for $16.7 thousand, which was the lowest monthly figure for the entire 2025 year. This year, the largest volume of Russian ice cream exports to the Chinese market was in March, amounting to $950.9 thousand.
According to the SCA, for the first eight months, China purchased ice cream from the Russian Federation for $2.2 million, compared to $2.6 million for the same period last year.
From January to October, China imported ice cream from 35 countries. Russia is in seventh place. The largest suppliers were France ($41.5 million), New Zealand ($13.5 million), Spain ($8.6 million), and South Korea ($6.8 million).
It was reported that in 2024, China purchased $2.7 million worth of ice cream from the Russian Federation, which is 1.4 times more than in 2023 ($1.9 million).
