The US Department of Agriculture forecasts a 20% increase in China's raisin production for the 2021/2022 season, reaching 180,000 tons, following a significant drop last season due to the pandemic's impact on Xinjiang's grape harvest. The quality of Chinese raisins, particularly black grapes, has improved, and the majority are produced in the Turpan Basin. China's raisin imports are projected to rise by 5% to 23,000 tons, with the United States, Chile, Australia, and Uzbekistan being the main suppliers.
