After more than a decade of diligent work and continuous research within laboratories, Chinese scientists have succeeded in deciphering one of the greatest environmental puzzles, transforming neglected agricultural waste, which constitutes a burden on our planet, into "black gold" that is environmentally friendly, opening up new horizons for sustainability and industry alike. This scientific breakthrough was led by researchers at the Institute of Ecology at the Hefei National Comprehensive Science Center, through the development of an innovative technology that allows for the efficient and high-value production of biochar from agricultural waste, through a single-step, simple dry catalytic process.
