The Yangling Vocational and Technical College in Shaanxi has partnered with local agricultural bodies to create a novel dragon fruit variety, dubbed “New Two Color.” This hybrid combines the traits of Vietnamese white and red-fleshed Da Hong dragon fruits, resulting in a fruit with high sugar content and enhanced productivity in greenhouse environments. Having gained provincial-level recognition, this development is part of the college's broader efforts in agricultural innovation, which includes the creation of bicolor dragon fruit hybrids and the Qin Hong Long variety, designed for the northern Chinese climate. These achievements underscore the institution's commitment to advancing fruit cultivation techniques and varieties.
