Indonesia's mangosteen growers in Subang, Tasikmalaya, and Jember are currently experiencing a full harvest and the weather conditions are favorable for fruit growth. The country's mangosteen is taking over the East Asian market as Chinese buyers shift their interest from Thailand to Indonesia due to a decline in Thailand's harvest. Stevan Budi Susanto, head of export at Pt. Citra Tama Jaya Indo, plans to export three 40-foot containers of mangosteens to China every week from November until after January.
