The Chungnam Agricultural Technology Institute conducted on-site agricultural education for 25 North Korean defectors from May 28-30, titled 'Finding a New Land, New Life'. The program was held at major agricultural sites in Buyeo-gun, Yesan-gun, and Cheongyang-gun, and included △special lectures on Chungnam's support policies for returning farmers and young agricultural workers △field visits to vegetable farms growing green onions, cabbage, and lettuce △tours of rural experience villages △tours of settlement infrastructure at the Returning Farmers Hope Center. The participants also visited Shin-yang Farm in Yesan-gun, operated by North Korean defector Kim Na-hyun, to hear about successful farming experiences and practical advice.
